For this assignment I took a picture in sunlight, then sharpened the image, copied the layer, blurred the second layer, erased what needed to be sharp, then flattened the image.

Rule of Thirds Quiz

In the first image, the photographer uses the rule of thirds by placing the person, the centre of interest, in the top left intersection.

In the third image, the rule of thirds is used by putting the man's face in the top left intersection and the bird in the top right intersection.

The fourth image uses rule of thirds by having the top of the tower, the part with the highest concentration of bars,  therefore the centre of interest, in the top right intersection.

Cover Design

Yearbook Spread Proposal

I'll be creating a page for the yearbook titled "The Journey of Freddyjohnneebob". This page will include seven images about a stuffed toy travelling around with me. I will put it on swings, trees, with animals, with friends, etc. I will use Courtney in pictures where people are required. I plan to have these images by Oct. 26.

Rule of Thirds

This assignment introduced splitting the picture in to thirds virtically and horizontally and placing the subject where two lines meet.

Duotone

This assignment used Duotone and Quick Mask to blur the background.

Leading Lines

In this assignment I took a picture in an environment that has lines leading to the centre of attention. I made the lines more clear by going over them with red.

Layers - Landscape

In this assignment, I made two layers and made the top layer darker, then blended them together dramatic effect.
